Olympians In Training

Today was a great day! Miss Brittany, Kiss, Cookie, & I went to gymnastics class this morning and had a blast! We were a little nervous about how two 22 month olds would be in a huge gym but they completley surprised me & made me very proud.
We started out in a circle with the class on our carpet squares. We sang the Hokey Pokey and watched some of the daring kids do their straddle jump in the middle. Kiss & Cookie looked a little shy and unsure (as did Miss B & I).
Next, our half of the class went with Miss Summer to the trampoline and learned some "seat jumps." Kiss & Cookie wanted nothing to do with the trampoline...until--Kiss spotted the star on the trampoline. I went out there with her at first to see if she wanted to jump, and soon enough, Kiss was jumping, falling, laughing, and just having the time of her life! I was so excited to see her get out there and try it! Cookie followed soon behind after seeing how much fun his sister was having. He went all over the trampoline with the biggest smile on his face.
After some jumping and much resistance to get off of the trampoline, the class moved to the mats where we would jump on the beam, stand on a tall mat, jump down, and hop over the carpet sqares. Cookie was SO anxious to have his turn that I had to keep reminding him, "Almost your turn!" Kiss even clapped and said "yaaay!" for the other kids. It was probably the cutest thing I have ever seen.
The last gym activity took lots of courage. The kids had to walk across the balance beam, then scoot down the little beam to the end. Kiss had absoluetley no fear! She went all the way across the beam with a huge smile on her face. Cookie was a little more unsure about being that high up, but they both loved scooting across the little beam together.
Of course, the morning would not be complete without some ladybug stamps and a high five. I can't believe how much Kiss & Cookie have grown in just a matter of months. I was so glad I got to experience gymnastics today with them.

Miss A is 21!

This week was full of celebrating and stress! The celebrating was of course for my birthday, but the stress was all about getting classes in order for next year and figuring out a plan. I am so glad that everything is in order and I can now focus on doing well in school and taking care of Kiss & Cookie!
My mom came to College Station for my new student orientation that went from 8am-4pm! (Not exactly what I would call a super fun birthday!) Of course we did make time to go out to lunch for some of my favorite fish tacos. My sister and Brittany tagged along as well.
The celebration began at La Bodega with a few friends and even Charissa! I was so glad she was there to witness my first legal drink!

After dinner, we all headed to karaoke. Don't worry--I didn't sing but I did get the whole place singing "Happy Birthday" to me. Overall, I would say this birthday was a success and a lot of fun!

Now back to the life of a crazy nanny. I was very excited to see Kiss & Cookie this week. Kiss has a new saying of the week: "No Whining!" You should see her when she says it! She gets the biggest smile on her face. Soon we will all be back to library days, Kindermusik, and running around at the park. Can't wait!

The Little Chefs

Yesterday was a COLD but FUN day! We went to Blue Baker with our favorite girl as usual--Brittany! Of course what would lunch with these kids be without some messy PB&J?

"I wanted grape jelly!! Not strawberry!"

Kiss likes to feed Miss Brittany.
They got a little kitchen this Christmas and love it! They are always making new recipies for me to try. I think acorn soup is their best yet."Stay focused! We don't want to mess this up!"
"Do the dishes Cookie!"

Okay, so I had to throw this picture in here. How could I not? Million dollar smile right there.

This week was a lot of fun! How could it not be? We all love hanging out with each other! Kindermusik is today...can't wait to "ba-ba-baa!" (They've been practicing all during the break).

Hello 2010!

Miss A missed these adorable faces! Kiss & Cookie have grown up so much in just 10 days!! I love that Kiss calls her brother "Cookie" and still says, "hohoho" and "hapnewyeaur" (or something like that). Cookie greeted me this morning with a big smile & "hiiiiiii!" Also, Kiss has now begun to repeat everything I say such as: Peaceout, Coooooool, Pretty, and everytime I say, "Who is that?" she says..."YOU!" I think she has been used to people pointing to pictures of her and saying, "there's YOU!"
Did he turn into a little boy overnight or what? No more chubby baby!
"Just chillen in my ball pit."

Kiss loves chocolate milk.

I'm so proud that she has started to use her potty although...I have yet to witness it for myself :( Hopefully I will be able to report later this week that Kiss has showed Miss A how she uses the potty!

The new deck outside looks AMAZING by the way. I am so excited especially for this summer to spend on the deck! We can have lunch out there and just have more space to run around without the fear of someone driving their car off the edge! (True Story).

More to come! I am so pumped for how many new things these kids are learning each & every day!
